We’ve used Custom Restoration for two masonry projects on our Southeast Wisconsin home, and both experiences have been excellent. The first was a partial chimney rebuild, and from the very beginning, Scott (the president) stood out. He came out personally to assess the project and was genuine, transparent, and never pushy—something we didn’t experience with other companies we received quotes from.
While his estimate wasn’t the lowest of our available options, it was still very reasonable, and his honesty and professionalism made him the clear choice. He was easygoing, knowledgeable, and made us feel confident that we were in good hands. He also took the time to answer all of my (many!) questions over email leading up to the project, which really spoke to his level of care and customer service.
His crew did a phenomenal job, and we were so happy with the results that when we needed foundation repairs a year and a half later, we didn’t even consider getting additional quotes—we went straight back to Custom Restoration. Excellent work on our 1970’s building. All our windows leaked and Custom Restoration was able to repair around each window and replace block. Their team was efficient, professional and got the job done. Now the spring is here and we’ve had the first few rain storms, it’s amazing that there are no more leaks and our window sills remain dry!

We are very pleased with the work Custom Restoration did on the 36 year old facade of our house. They carefully removed around 60 bricks because of a mysterious leak problem. They installed flashing and weeps and reinstalled the bricks right before the latest torrential downpour (over ten inches in one night) where we live. Not a drop of water came inside our bay window. They did their utmost to fix the problem and we appreciate their integrity and workmanship. We found their masons to be polite and hard working. Thank you, Custom Restoration. We also really liked both Scott the owner and Jon, the job supervisor. Lisa in the office is very nice, too.

Our very old basement is constructed of large semi-dressed lannon stone rocks. The 120 year-old mortar was seriously crumbling out and the rock was coated in efflorescence. The workers from Custom Restoration cleaned off the stone, cleared out the old mortar and tuck pointed both the inside and outside. They did the entire project in about 10 days and did such a fantastic job! The stone looks super nice, and our basement inside is so much cleaner. They did a decent job of cleaning up after. They were professional and courteous throughout and everyone communicated with us throughout the project so we always knew what was going on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone in need of their services, and would call them again with any future projects.
Custom Restoration did a quality job replacing the brick and cap on my chimney. They were able to finish the job in one day. The owner came back and checked his employees work. This attention to detail makes it a company I would refer to my friends. Great job on matching my existing brick!

Recently had to have our living room window lintel replaced because the window was leaking when it rained. The window is surrounded by lannon stone which had to be removed for the repairs.
